The Revival is here, if like myself you had some good times at Heaven and Hell, either as a Customer, An Employee, A Manager, DJ, Promotions Staff or whatever else, then this is the Reunion Location. Yeah yeah we know the floor was probably sticky, and the girls was naughty, the boys wore spripey jumpers but most of us will have some good memories there. This site is about the memories, not the club... the clubs are gone, only the good times shall remain.
On the 30 June 2006 The Morning Advertiser, reported that Heaven and Hell had gone into insolvancy, which in my opinion had been coming for some time. It says they are blaming the later pub licensing hours for their dive from £10,000,000 (10 Million) profits into rumoured £100s of thousands of debts. I don't believe this is the sole reason otherwise many other clubs would have gone as well but most adapted.
I will be looking into what is happening at each Heaven and Hell venue currently, starting with Stockport, According to the Manchester Evening News, the Stockport one will be knocked down and a Budget Hotel, a Travelodge specifically will be built there as part of a £100m refurb of the whole of the complex.
Huddersfield last I heard was still empty after being the first of the Heaven and Hells to close, it was also the shortest lived of them all. Visage and Ethos simply ate its heart while it sat and watched.
